| The senior drama students are working on two children’s theatre productions this year. They have invited all elementary students to a special performance they call “The FESS Loonie Show”. The two performances are, “Paper or Plastic” and “Harlequin Holds the Bag”. Tickets are a loonie or a non-perishable food item, to be donated to the FESS Christmas food drive.
The performances take place on Wednesday and Thursday December 10th and 11th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The show will be performed in the R. Scott Gemmill Theatre (AKA the auditorium on the 3rd floor). This is a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to gain experience in the demands of putting on a full production, from marketing to putting on the actual show.
In addition we will be presenting a special evening performance open to the community. It will include the two children’s theatre productions plus FESS’ own Blue Man Band, performing their Blue Man Group tribute.
Most importantly, we will be offering this as a dinner show put on by the Special High Skills Majors program. A wonderful 3 course meal served by students and staff.
This event will take place on Friday December 12th, doors open at 6:30 PM with dinner being served at 7:00 PM, Tickets are $30.00 each.
For those interested in just the show, tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors.
In addition both shows will be entered into the Sears Drama Festival in March 2009. For additional details, contact: Vince Marinaccio Head of Drama Fort Erie Secondary School 905-871-4610 905-984-9988
