Cornerstone Carpentry

Mark Kawabe - Wednesday, January 27, 2010
It is my pleasure to welcome Carl Lascelles from Cornerstone Carpentry to The Niagara Guide family of advertisers.

When it comes to renovations, Carl can do it all, and if not, he knows someone who can. Drywall. Roofing. Building. Framing. General carpentry. Doors. Windows. Decks. Additions. If you need something built or repaired around the house, Carl's your guy.

Check out his website at http://www.cornerstonecarpentry.ca or call him today at 905-734-4470 and start Building Your Way to a New Beginning.

Free Corkage at The Spice of Life!

Mark Kawabe - Wednesday, January 27, 2010
It's WEDNESDAY! Hump Day! Time-to-celebrate-moving-into-the-latter-half-of-the-week-day!

So, why not celebrate by going out for dinner to a nice restaurant and enjoy a nice bottle of wine?

Oh - what's that you say? Because wine is expensive at restaurants?

Yeah, we all know that's kind of true, so why not take your own instead?

Yes, it's true. In Ontario you are allowed to bring your own wine to restaurants. Whether a restaurant will ACCEPT your wine is a different story, but those who do will usually charge a corkage fee to open and serve the wine. This is reasonable as it's taking the server's time, a couple of glasses will need to be washed etc. so there is a cost involved to the restaurant.

However, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, The Spice of Life Restaurant & Wine Bar offers FREE CORKAGE to all its customers. That means you can take that special bottle of Chateau-du-Whatever and enjoy it with a fabulous meal at The Spice of Life in their newly-renovated main floor dining room. It's a fantastic idea. So what are you waiting for? Get to The Spice of Life with a bottle in hand!

Family Night at The Fine Kettle 'O' Fish!

Mark Kawabe - Wednesday, January 27, 2010
If you haven't had Fish & Chips for a while, you owe it to yourself to check them out tonight at The Fine Kettle 'O' Fish. It's family night after all.

What does that mean? It means for $16.99 you get four pieces of fish, fries & coleslaw. That's what. In other words, enough to feed the family for a lot less than it would normally be.

I was there two weeks ago and was amazed at the deal - and I think you will be too.

Head over to The Kettle and see what you think!

I don't see us deleting that any time soon, but we'll be continuing on using this new platform. <sigh> Importing blog data doesn't always go smoothly, but here we are. Thanks!

Greetings folks,

Mark Kawabe here from The Niagara Guide. We're in the process of moving to a new content management system for our websites and as a result, our blogs are moving as well.

Ook. I hate this process because it's not always something that goes smoothly. However, it is what it is.

Just wanted to let you know. Thank you for your patience and for your reading!

Best Regards,
