your arrival at Wolseley Gardens Bed & Breakfast, you'll be warmly
greeted by your hosts Donna and Pete Copland. Conveniently located in
the heart of St. Catharines, this charming home is ideal for single
travelers, couples and multiple families. This circa 1910 dwelling abounds
with antique furniture and many examples of functional, decorative,
smoked and Raku pieces created by Donna, an avid potter. Wolseley Gardens
is located on the first street in St. Catharines to win the coveted
Trillium Award for gardening excellence.
Guests often comment
on the comfortable beds. The Verandah Suite has its own private bathroom,
a sitting room and a full, covered verandah with a "street garden"
view. The Plum Room has an antique pineapple-post double bed with direct
access to a private or shared bathroom. The Rebecca Room is a sunny
room with a double bed and shared bathroom, also available for a single
traveler. Although their home is smoke free, their covered verandahs
and tiered deck will allow you to indulge yourselves.
When you're in the
middle of St. Catharines, you're 20 minutes away from virtually all
of the major attractions in the Niagara Region and steps away from dozens
of fine restaurants and shops downtown.
You will be
amazed at the breakfast. The full breakfast may include muffins, croissants
fresh fruit, baked apples, crepes, quiche, bacon and eggs, sausage,
potatoes, omelets, french toast, or cinnamon buns, depending on Donna's
inclination. Guests rave about it and you will too. Donna and Pete know
what hospitality means, and will serve you breakfast depending on your
schedule, starting at 5:00 a.m.
