If you're coming
from: The Peace Bridge, The
Rainbow Bridge, Queenston / Lewiston Bridge,
Toronto, Areas West of Niagara
From
the Peace Bridge:
Toll: CAD $3.00
or US $2.00, paid on US side prior to entering Canada. Good for round
trip.
After crossing the
bridge and going through Customs/Immigration, proceed straight, you
will immediately be on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) heading for Niagara
Falls.
After about 15 minutes,
there will be a sign indicating Highway 420 / Dorchester Road. Take
that exit.
The exit splits,
follow the lane that indicates Highway 420 / Bridge to USA.
You will merge on
to Hwy 420 and proceed straight for about 1 mile. Stay to the left and
get into the lane to turn left. There will be a large intersection with
information booths and a large Casino Niagara parking lot. This is the
intersection of Hwy 420 and Stanley Avenue.
Turn left on to
Stanley Avenue, proceed straight for about one-quarter mile. Where the
strip plaza on the left ends, is the street Valley Way. There is a traffic
light at this intersection, turn right.
Proceed straight,
and within a short distance there will be a three street intersection,
take the street that goes straight ahead, do not turn left or right.
Be cautious at this intersection.
Proceed straight.
There is a traffic light and the only options are to turn left or right.
This street is Victoria Avenue. Turn left and then turn right immediately
at the next stoplight (a very short distance, a matter of meters/yards.)
You are on Simcoe
Street. Proceed straight to the end of Simcoe Street. At that point
you will only be able to turn left or right, and a railroad track will
be in front of you. Turn right. You are on Ontario Avenue (which will
change its name to Palmer while you're on it.)
You will pass a
street on your left called Bampfield. Proceed straight until the next
street on the left, which will be Eastwood Crescent. Turn left on to
Eastwood Crescent.
Proceed downhill
(stop at intersection) to near the end of Eastwood Crescent. On your
left you will see a small laneway and then a green, chain link fence.
Immediately after this will be a driveway on the left, (the last one
on the street before it ends at River Road) turn left into the parking
lot, park where you like. The entrance is at the very front of the house.
From
the Rainbow Bridge:
Toll: CAD $3.50
or US $2.50, paid on US side prior to entering Canada. Good for round
trip.
Once you go through
Customs/Immigration and are through the booth, you will immediately
notice a sign towards your right that says "The Falls." Veer
right and curve right, (do not go straight towards signs indicating
Toronto!) in just a few meters you will be at a 3-street intersection
with Hiram Street. Turn right again, go downhill, and within a few meters
you will be at an intersection with River Road. (A large hotel is directly
on your left) Turn left on to River Road. (You have basically made a
U turn, just bringing yourself down to the River Road, which runs underneath
the Rainbow Bridge.)
Proceed on River
Road, you will see the side streets on the left, John, Philip and then
you will begin to go uphill. At the top of the hill, on the left, is
Eastwood Crescent, and The Eastwood Lodge.
Turn left on to
Eastwood Crescent and take the first right at the first driveway. Park
anywhere you like and proceed to the very front of the house to the
door that has the sign "office."
From
the Queenston / Lewiston Bridge:
Toll: CAD $3.50
or US $2.50, paid on US side prior to entering Canada. Good for round
trip.
Customs/Immigration
Canada is on the Canadian side of the bridge, and immediately after
that are toll booths. Try to get into the toll booth at the right, or
as close as possible to it.
Once you pay toll
you will have to take the very first exit on your right, which is only
a matter of twenty feet out of the toll booths, which is called "Niagara
Parkway". Do not proceed to where the many lanes begin to converge
into two lanes - you will have already gone too far. You are basically
going to make a ninety degree turn out of the toll booths.
At the bottom of
the Niagara Parkway exit, turn right. You will pass the Floral Clock,
The Butterfly Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Whirlpool Golf Course,
the Spanish Aero Car and then you will enter into the city limits of
Niagara Falls where the Niagara Parkway will change its name to River
Road.
Proceed along River
Road for about two miles, you will pass the side streets on the right
named Ellis, Simcoe, Bampfield, Seneca, Otter and then the next street
is Eastwood Crescent. Turn right on the Eastwood Crescent, take the
first driveway on the right, park where you like and proceed to the
far from of the house to the entrance that says "office."
Directions
from Toronto, Ontario:
North Toronto:
Follow Hwy 401 West towards Hamilton, where you will need to follow
on Hwy 403 West.
From 403 West, you
will see signs indicating The Queen Elizabeth Way / Niagara, (otherwise
known as the QEW). Get on QEW / Niagara.
South Toronto:
Take the
QEW towards Hamilton until it becomes QEW Niagara. Get on QEW / Niagara.
You will travel
for about forty minutes and pass over a very large bridge in St. Catharines
known as the Garden City Skyway. After crossing that, try to get into
the left lane.
You will see signs
for Hwy 405 / Queenston. Get on Hwy 405 - you will exit to the left.
Follow Hwy 405 to
the end, and just before the toll booths at the Bridge to the US, there
will be an exit called Niagara Parkway. Take that exit.
At the bottom of
the exit, turn right. You will be on the Niagara Parkway heading towards
Niagara Falls. Upon entering the city limits of Niagara Falls, the Niagara
Parkway changes its name to River Road.
You will see side
streets on your right, Ellis, Simcoe, Bampfield, Seneca, Otter. The
next side street on the right is Eastwood Crescent. Turn right onto
Eastwood Crescent and then right into the first driveway. Park anywhere
you like. The office is at the very front of the house.
Directions
from Areas West of Niagara Falls:
If your travel takes
you via the cities of Detroit, Windsor, Sarnia, Port Huron, or London
you will be approaching Niagara Falls from the west. The best strategy
is to get on to Highway 401 East.
As Hamilton gets
closer, you will need to take Highway 403 towards Hamilton. There will
also be signs indicating the Queen Elizabeth Way/Niagara (QEW / Niagara).
Exit to the QEW / Niagara.
You will travel
